Ottawa police charge Cornwall, Ont. man with sexual offences, believes there may be other victims

A Cornwall, Ont. man is facing several charges in connection to alleged sexual offences dating back to 2011, and police believe there may be additional victims.

The Ottawa Police Service said Thursday evening that an arrest was made following an investigation that began in 2024.

Paul Jody (PJ) Bourne, 39, of Ottawa is facing several charges, including five counts of sexual assault, four counts of sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age, three counts of invitation to sexual touching and one count each of making child pornography and making sexually explicit material available to a person under or believed to be under 16-years-old for specific criminal offences.

“The Ottawa Police Service’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit believes there may be additional victims or incidents related to this investigation in both the Ottawa and North Bay areas,” police said.
