A 28-year-old Ottawa man is taking home half a million dollars after a split lottery win. Kyle Stimpson of Nepean split a $1 million Maxmillions prize in the Dec. 23, 2025, Lotto Max draw, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) said. OLG says Stimpson works in the high-end automotive industry and learned of his win over the Christmas holidays. “This win comes at a perfect time for my partner and me. Over the holidays, we got engaged and announced that we’re expecting our first child — and then I won this prize,” Stimpson said in a media release. He said he bought the ticket after getting gas and seeing the $80 million jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Greenbank Road in Nepean.
