A 46-year-old Ottawa man is facing charges following an investigation into a “hate-motivated road rage incident” earlier this month, according to police. The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) said investigators of the Hate and Bias Crime Unit were notified on Feb. 7 about a “road rage interaction.” “In which the suspect engaged in aggressive behaviour toward another driver while uttering hate-motivated comments,” police said. Police say the incident was captured on video and shared on social media. The suspect is facing charges of assault, criminal harassment and mischief to property. Police did not release the name of the suspect or any details on the location of the alleged incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det.
