Ottawa could see the first flurries of winter this week

Ottawa could experience its first taste of winter weather this week, with a risk of flurries expected overnight on Wednesday and Friday.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud today. There is a slight chance of morning showers. High 10 C.

A few clouds tonight. Low 1 C.

Wednesday will be mainly cloudy, with periods of rain beginning in the morning. High 8 C.

Environment Canada says it will be mainly cloudy Wednesday night with a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries. Low 1 C.

Thursday will see a mix of sun and cloud. High 5 C.

The outlook for Friday calls for cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 7 C.

There is a 40 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers Friday night.

Saturday will be cloudy. High 3 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 7 C and a low of 0 C.

Environment Canada reported Ottawa experienced its first trace of flurries at the end of November 2024, and the first recorded snowfall of 2.2 cm of snow on Dec. 1, 2024.
