Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say human remains found on a Kelly Jordan Road residence northeast of Smiths Falls last month belong to Robbie Thomson, who was reported missing in October 2023. According to police, a postmortem examination confirmed that the remains, found on Oct. 30, were those of the missing Smiths Falls man. On Oct. 29., police arrested and charged three people with first-degree murder in relation to Thomson’s disappearance, and all three appeared before court Wednesday. Police say they will continue to have an increased police presence on Kelly Jordan Road. In early October, police offered a $50,000 reward for information regarding Thomson’s disappearance. Smiths Falls is located roughly 80 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa.
