The Ottawa Police Service is looking for witnesses to a fatal collision in rural southwest Ottawa on Thursday. The crash between a dump truck and another vehicle happened at the intersection of Fallowfield Road and Eagleson Road at around 1 p.m. Ottawa police say a woman in her 80s was pronounced dead at the scene and a man in his 80s was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition. The Ottawa Paramedic Service told CTV News Ottawa on Thursday that a third person was assessed at the scene and released. Police initially said in the immediate moments after the crash that both victims were men. Police confirmed Friday the deceased victim was a woman. Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam or surveillance footage of this incident but has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact the OPS Fatal Collision Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.
