OC Transpo reopens washrooms for O-Train Line 1

OC Transpo says the washrooms at O-Train Line 1 stations have reopened.

The washrooms were closed over two months ago on Feb. 20 as OC Transpo undertook a risk assessment for all washrooms along the line due to drug-use and vandalism.

OC Transpo has not yet commented on the results of the risk assessment or whether security measures have been put in place.

In a Facebook post in March, Barrhaven East Coun. Wilson Lo said the closure followed an OC Transpo Special Constable investigation into needles that were “discovered placed in an intentional way that could cause harm to staff and customers.”

Line 1 has washrooms at Tunney’s Pasture, Bayview, Hardman and Blair stations.
