A man was taken to the hospital after a collision left him trapped in his vehicle in Ottawa’s west end Wednesday evening. According to Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps, paramedics from both Ottawa and Renfrew attended a crash involving a vehicle and a rock cut off Highway 417 near Panmure Road at around 6:30 p.m. The vehicle’s occupant was trapped, and Ottawa firefighters say they safely extricated the individual. Deschamps says the occupant, an adult man, was taken to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
