A 66-year-old man is facing charges after a billing dispute at a business in Brockville, Ont. The Brockville Police Service says it received a 9-1-1 call on Aug. 22 reporting a customer had assaulted an employee at a business in the city’s north end. The man visited the business to dispute services he was billed for, according to police. “The male was agitated on arrival, belligerent with staff and found to have been under the influence of alcohol,” police said in a statement. “One staff member attempted to calm the situation and escort the male out of the store. This resulted in the subject turning nose to nose, and then shoving the staff member. At that point a physical altercation ensued that ended shortly after.” The suspect left the store, but was located nearby by responding officers. No one was seriously injured in the dispute. Police say the man is facing charges of assault, resisting arrest, failing to comply with a release order, failing to comply with probation and public intoxication. “The male was learned to be on various court-imposed conditions through bail and probation,” police said.
