Man critically injured in Overbrook shooting

Ottawa police say two people have been charged in connection with a recent shooting in Overbrook that left one man critically injured.

On Wednesday, emergency crews responded to several 911 calls reporting that a man was shot on Prince Albert Street around 1 p.m.

The man was sent to the hospital in life-threatening condition and one person was taken into custody shortly after the incident.

According to Thursday evening news release from police, a 45-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man are facing multiple gun related charges.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
