The Limestone City has another new millionaire. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says James Kane, a city worker, won the grand prize of $1,288,729.80 on Sept. 3. Kane said he picked up a ticket when he noticed the jackpot had grown to more than $1 million. “I realized I won big and was in disbelief,” he said in a news release. “I spent the rest of the day walking around thinking it was a dream and wondering when I’d wake up.” Kane says he plans to use his winnings to retire early. OLG says the winning ticket was purchased at Aberfoyle Convenience on Aberfoyle Road in Kingston. This comes one day after OLG announced that a Kingston resident had come forward to claim the winning $75 million Lotto Max jackpot from the Aug. 19 draw.
