Humidity returns to the forecast in Ottawa this week

Hot, humid conditions are set to make their return to the forecast in Ottawa this week.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 24 C with a humidex of 26 on Tuesday, under a mainly sunny sky.

Fog patches that formed Tuesday morning will dissipate as the morning progresses.

Tuesday night, expect a clear sky with fog patches developing after midnight and a low of 11 C.

Wednesday’s outlook is sunny with a high of 28 C and a humidex of 32.

Thursday and Friday are expected to be muggy.

“Hot and humid conditions are expected. Stay cool and hydrated,” a note on the weather agency’s website says.

Highs of 30 C with the possibility of showers are in the forecast for both days.
