Ontario Provincial Police say a 62-year-old man from East Hawkesbury, Ont. is facing several sexual assault-related charges following an investigation. According to police, the alleged incidents date back to July 2025. OPP arrested Robert Garby on July 30, according to a news release. He is charged with five counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, five counts of sexual interference, and one count of distributing cannabis to a person under 18. The charges have not been proven in court. Police say he was released from custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Sept. 2. “The OPP reminds the public that victims of sexual assault are not alone.
