A driver is facing a charge of stunt driving after being stopped going 98 km/h over the speed limit on a street in the City of Ottawa. The Ottawa Police Service says an officer observed a driver going 178 km/h on Limebank Road on Aug. 29. The speed limit on the road in Ottawa’s south end is 80 km/h. The driver is facing a charge of stunt driving, which includes a 30-day licence suspension and the vehicle impounded for 14 days. “We all have a responsibility to keep our roads safe. Please follow the posted speed limits,” police said on X.
