Diesel prices are expected to rise significantly this week, according to an expert. Canadians for Affordable Energy president Dan McTeague says prices for diesel are expected to go up seven cents per litre on Wednesday and another 11 cents on Thursday. “Setting records for the fuel that runs the economy - and it’s happening before the seasonal spike in demand in fall, winter & early spring,” McTeague said on X. According to McTeague’s forecast, this would bring the price of diesel up to $2.34/L on Wednesday and then to $2.45/L on Thursday. Gas prices are also expected to go up two cents per litre on Thursday, up to $1.87/L.
