Crown withdraws charges against men accused of killing Yusuf Ibrahim

CTV Ottawa: First degree murder charges News details on the men accused in Ottawa's first homicide of the year.

Crown prosecutors have dropped first degree murder charges against two men accused of killing 27-year-old Yusuf Ibrahim.

32-year-old Mohamed Abdullahi and 23-year-old Abdullahi Osman were arrested in June 2015 and charged with one count each of first degree murder. On Friday, the crown dropped the charges against both men.

27-year-old Ibrahim was shot dead on February 6th, 2015 at 181 Forestglade Crescent in south Ottawa.  He was apparently visiting friends at the time.

Police at the time believed the killing was gang-related.
