The Cornwall Police Service is treating the death of a 52-year-old woman on Thanksgiving as a homicide. Police say officers responded to the 500 block of Walton Street for a request for police assistance from Cornwall paramedics early Monday morning, according to a news release. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. On Wednesday, police said the death is now being treated as a homicide. “Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, including reviewing available video surveillance footage,” police said. “An increased police presence is expected in the area as the investigation continues.” Police did not announce any arrests.
