The Cornwall Police Service says a 28-year-old woman is facing several charges following an investigation into alleged sexual crimes against a teenager. Police began investigating on June 7 following an assault complaint. Police allege the woman assaulted a boy younger than 16, whom police described as the woman’s “boyfriend.” Police further alleged that several incidents, including sexual assault, took place between Feb. 1 and June 30 involving the woman and an individual under 16 years of age. The woman was arrested on Thursday and charged with domestic assault, invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age, sexual assault of a person under 16 years of age, and sexual interference. She is due in court at the end of September. Police did not name her in a news release on Friday.
