Someone in eastern Ontario is half a million dollars richer. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says that while the jackpot in Tuesday night’s Lotto Max draw went unclaimed, there were still several winners across the province. “Last night’s draw delivered a wave of winning moments for Ontario players, with major prizes awarded in communities throughout the province. At the same time, the jackpot continues its climb, setting the stage for one of the most exciting draws of the season,” OLG said in a news release. One of the winners is in Prescott-Russell. A ticketholder is splitting a $1 million prize with another ticket that was sold in Quebec, OLG said. Prizes were also won in Mississauga, Burlington, Woodbridge, Simcoe County, Paris, and Toronto. Friday night’s Lotto Max jackpot will be worth an estimated $80 million. Players will also have a chance to win an estimated 14 Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each and 80 Maxplus prizes worth $100,000 each.
