A 44-year-old woman faces multiple charges following a break-in at a storage shed in Sault Ste. Marie last month. Officers responded to a report of a break-and-enter in the 0-100 block of Albert Street East at around 8 a.m. on May 27. “An investigation revealed the accused broke into the victim’s shed the previous evening and stole property,” said the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in a news release. Police said the victim and the accused were not known to each other. On June 2, officers with the service’s Division 2 Unit located and arrested the accused on her outstanding warrants. As a result, the accused is charged with theft, breaking and entering a place to commit an indictable offence and failing to comply with a probation order. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on August 24.
