Warrants issued for Sudbury man after alleged crime spree

Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of a local man wanted on numerous criminal charges following an alleged incident in the city in September.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service holds several outstanding warrants for the arrest of 44-year-old Robbie Sewell. The charges are connected to events alleged to have occurred during a single hour.

Series of alleged offences

The warrants stem from activities “between the hours of 7 and 8 p.m.” on Sept. 28 near the eastern end of Lasalle Boulevard, according to a Crime Stoppers news release.

The organization said Sewell is wanted for a series of alleged crimes, pending charges include two counts of breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence, dangerous operation of a vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, two theft charges, possession of property obtained by crime and three mischief charges.

“Robbie Sewell is believed to be in the Sudbury area,” Crime Stoppers said.

“Any information on his location would be greatly appreciated.”

Sewell is described as a male, 5’9” tall (175cm), weighing about 165 lbs (75kg), with brown hair and blue eyes.

In an effort to gather tips, Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to his arrest.

“Remember - crime costs you, Crime Stoppers pays,” wrote the organization in a related social media post.
