Three people have been charged with 44 offences following the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in Webbwood. On the morning of Oct. 7, officers executed the warrant at an address on Main Street in the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers. “Police seized over $14,000 in suspected cocaine, over $16,000 in suspected methamphetamine (and) over $8,000 in Canadian currency,” Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Thursday. OPP said officers also seized compound bows, pellet guns, digital scales, packaging materials and five cellphones. Charges laid A 39-year-old local man, a 44-year-old also from Sables-Spanish Rivers and a 38-year-old man from Sudbury were each charged with five counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, five drug trafficking offences and possession of proceeds obtained by crime. The 38-year-old was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order and breach of recognizance, while the 44-year-old was also charged with nine counts of failing to comply with a release order. All three accused were remanded following a bail hearing.
