North Bay Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 56-year-old man with impaired driving after observing a vehicle weaving within its lane. At around 12:40 a.m. Sept. 19, officers spotted a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 11 before it continued onto Pinewood Park Drive in North Bay, police said in a news release Tuesday “Officers conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver had consumed alcohol. A 56-year-old man was charged and transported to the OPP detachment for additional testing,” police said. In addition to being charged with impaired driving, the suspect’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. The man is scheduled to appear in North Bay court Oct. 28.
