OPP seek help IDing vehicle vandals in Chapleau

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help after cars were extensively damaged at a Lorne Street business in Chapleau last month.

OPP said officers responded following a report that two individuals had caused extensive damage to the vehicles in the business’s parking lot, arriving on scene at about 10:35 p.m. on Aug. 25.

Surveillance obtained

“Surveillance video was obtained from the owner,” OPP said in a social media post.

Appeal for information

Investigators are working to identify the individuals captured on that footage and have shared images from the recording.

“Officers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) and anyone else involved in the damage to the vehicles,” said police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
