Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a sudden death Oct. 17 in Moosonee. Officers and the area health authority responded to a call at 6:15 a.m. on Wabun Road where one person was sent to hospital and later died, police said in a news release Sunday. “A young person is in custody and the investigation is ongoing,“ police said. “Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no immediate risk to public safety.” Police ask anyone with information that could assist in the to contact the James Bay OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
