Police in Sault Ste. Marie are investigating after a fire broke out at a residence on Second Line West on Jan. 25 just after 2 a.m. “Upon arrival, smoke and fire were visible,” said Aaron Gravelle, a fire education officer with the Sault fire department. “All units responded to the incident, as well as an overtime crew (that was) called in. There is extensive damage from the fire. The cause of the fire was suspicious in nature and (the Sault Police Service) took over.” Gravelle said three people were sent to hospital for “precautionary reasons. No firefighters were injured.”
