Greater Sudbury police responded to an incident early Friday morning in the city’s downtown. In a news release, police said officers received multiple 911 calls reporting that a male had been assaulted and responded to the Durham and Larch Street area just before 1:00 a.m. on Aug. 28. “Upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to Health Sciences North for medical treatment,” police said. Investigators are canvassing the downtown, reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identifying those involved.
