Police in Thunder Bay have charged a 28-year-old man after a stabbing incident in the city’s north side. Officers were sent to the area of Bay and Lake Streets on the evening of Sept. 26 after receiving reports of an injured man, the Thunder Bay Police Service said in a news release Tuesday. “A male victim sustained injuries consistent with an assault and stabbing that are not considered life-threatening,“ police said. Officers found the suspect at a nearby address and, police said, while in custody, the man assaulted an officer. Police said the man faces several charges, including aggravated assault, forcible confinement, assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. The accused was remanded into custody following an initial court appearance.
