Actor Lou Ferrigno, a bodybuilder best known for portraying the Incredible Hulk in the 1970s TV series, is paying a visit to Timmins police next week. Officials assured the media Wednesday that the announcement is legit and not an April Fools’ joke. And Ferrigno is slated to appear at the upcoming Timmins Con event. The actor, now 74, will stop in the training room at police headquarters at 10 a.m. April 8. “During his visit, Mr. Ferrigno will tour the station, meet with members, and participate in a brief recognition as an honorary ambassador for the Timmins Police Service,” police said. Ferrigno will pose for photos and answer media questions, police said, adding that it’s not a public event. Residents can attend Timmins Con to see him in person. “Members of the public will have an opportunity to see Lou Ferrigno during Timmins Con, taking place April 11-12 at the McIntyre Community Centre,” police said.
