Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police say a citizen’s report of a possible impaired driver led to two charges Sunday afternoon. “Officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver travelling on Highway 17 in West Nipissing, and later located the vehicle and arrested the driver,” police said in a news release Sept. 14. A 47-year-old Sturgeon Falls man was charged by police and is scheduled to appear in North Bay court Nov. 5. The man’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
