More than a dozen advanced voting locations across the province were delayed in opening due to technical issues, says Elections Alberta. As a result, the affected stations will be open later to reflect the full advertised hours of service. “Late openings were due to various and separate technology issues that have been resolved,” said a statement from Elections Alberta. “Of the 311 total advance voting locations open today, 17 were affected.” The Edmonton Gold Bar and Manning locations were impacted by the technology issues and will close at 8:20 p.m. and 8:07 p.m., respectively. A full list of voting location closing time changes can be found online. Advanced voting runs from Oct. 13 to 17.
