Nipissing West OPP charged a 19-year-old G2 Petawawa driver after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 in West Nipissing after midnight Saturday The collision occurred when one vehicle struck another from behind, causing the vehicle that was struck to roll over. No injuries were reported, police said in a news release Monday. “The driver of the vehicle that caused the collision was arrested for impaired driving and transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.” The man is scheduled to appear in North Bay court Oct.1 and will also answer to three additional charges. As a Class G2 novice driver, the driver was subject to Ontario’s zero-alcohol requirement and must have a blood alcohol concentration of zero while driving.
