Ontario Provincial Police say Highway 17 west of the divided highway was closed in both directions for several hours Monday after a single-vehicle collision. “Officers responded to the collision at around 2:20 p.m. where the driver was sent to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries,” police said in a release Aug. 25. The highway was closed while officers investigated the collision and removed the vehicle. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from incident to call them.
