CTV News has learned a popular hotel in Sudbury has been sold. The Ambassador Hotel, on the corner of the Kingsway and Falconbridge Road, is officially closing its doors Monday, August 26. It has been a family-run business in the community for 51 years. Michael Clement, the hotel's general manager, says it’s a bittersweet time and the decision to sell was a difficult one that was carefully considered. A sign outside the hotel says 'Thanks you for 51 years of support.' The family cannot comment on who the purchaser is, but says it's a large Canadian developer who has a grand vision for the corner.
