Drug, cash seized in Thunder Bay police raid

A Thunder Bay Police Service investigation into drug trafficking has resulted in the seizure of suspected drugs and charges against two individuals.

Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Margaret Street on Feb. 3 as part of the investigation.

“During the search, suspected cocaine, fentanyl, cash and other items associated with drug trafficking were seized,” police said in a news release.

Two people located inside the home were also taken into custody.

Following the investigation, a 55-year-old Thunder Bay woman was charged with drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with a release order.

She was held in custody pending a future court appearance.

“The second suspect has been released with a future court date and is not being named until their charges are read before the court,” said police.
