Coming off a blockbuster 15-player trade with the Brampton Steelheads on Sept. 11, it didn’t take long for Sudbury Wolves general manager Rob Papineau to sign Tanner Adams to an Ontario Hockey League player card. Adams, who was selected third overall in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection, was signed Tuesday, the Wolves announced. The 16-year-old South Porcupine native admits to having strong ties to the region, having been a Sudbury fan growing up and will now wear a Wolves jersey. “We are thrilled to have Tanner officially commit to the Sudbury Wolves and the OHL, and we are excited for his future with us,” said Papineau. “Our fans will love his style of play and his passion and commitment to community.” Adams is expected to make his debut Friday when the Wolves return to the Sudbury Community Arena for their home and season opener against the Peterborough Petes.
