Jennifer Ferreira
ContactJennifer joined the CTV News national digital team as a writer and producer in October 2021. She specializes in stories on health, women’s issues, immigration, current affairs and Canadian politics.
A former member of Bell Media’s Graduate Leadership Program, Jennifer spent a few months writing for CTVNews.ca in 2020, covering different angles of the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to joining CTV News’ digital team, she produced video content for radio stations such as 99.9 Virgin Radio and CHUM 104.5. She also produced interview segments for TV shows such as The Social and Your Morning.
In her hometown of Brampton, Ont., Jennifer previously worked as a camera operator and video editor for a local Portuguese TV news station. She also oversaw the channel’s English programming, interviewing local politicians and experts on topics ranging from health and immigration policy to investments in public safety and transportation.
Jennifer holds a bachelor of journalism with a minor in politics from Toronto’s Ryerson University, where she received the Myron J. Johnson Prize for Accuracy and the Dick Lunn Memorial Award for her contribution to the school newspaper, The Ryersonian.
She speaks English and Portuguese.
