A 19-year-old woman was seriously injured after shots were fired in an apartment in the Sainte-Foy neighbourhood of Quebec City on Sunday night. Shortly before 11:30 p.m., witnesses called 911 to report gunshots coming from the home. Several officers from Quebec City police (SPVQ) rushed to the scene, where they found the young, injured woman. She was struck by at least one bullet and was considered to be in “critical condition.” The victim was transported to hospital, where her condition has since stabilized, and her life is not considered to be in danger. No arrests have been made. A security perimeter has been established for examination by investigators, forensic technicians and the K9 unit. A mobile command post has also been deployed.
