Quebec provincial police say they have seized 15 kilograms of cocaine and several weapons after a series of raids targeting an organized crime group linked to the Hells Angels. More than 160 police officers carried out 60 searches over the last two weeks in several regions in Quebec and New Brunswick, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) on Monday. Officers also seized more than $75,000 in cash, 79 cell phones, eight items bearing the Hells Angels logo, seven long guns, two handguns, three Tasers, 500 THC vapes, about 5,000 methamphetamine tablets and silver bars worth approximately $5,000. The SQ alleges the group that was targeted by the raids is responsible for importing cocaine and exporting cannabis, as well as “territory management” for the benefit of the Hells Angels chapters in Quebec. The operation was the result of a collaboration between the L’Escouade nationale de répression du crime organisé (ENRCO), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and several municipal police forces. The SQ says any information related to the trafficking, distribution, sale, or possession of narcotics or firearms can be reported confidentially to its Criminal Information Centre at 1-800-659-4264.
