Police raids are underway in cities across Quebec on Wednesday in connection with alleged drug trafficking related to the local chapters of the Hells Angels. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says 60 officers are on site in the municipalities of Sainte-Élisabeth, Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Saint-Mathieu-Beloeil, Terrebonne, Mirabel and Sainte-Adèle. “The ongoing investigation shows that the targeted organization is active in cocaine importation, cannabis exportation and territory management for the benefit of various Hells Angels chapters in Quebec,” the SQ said. “The results of this operation will be announced in the coming days.” The SQ notes that Wednesday’s raids are a continuation of those carried out last week. Various police forces are involved in the operation, led by the National Organized Crime Enforcement Squad (ENRCO).
