A man in his 20s is dead after a shooting late Wednesday night in Montreal’s LaSalle borough. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 10:45 p.m. about gunshots heard near the intersection of Broadway Street and 7th Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the man lying unconscious on the ground with wounds to his upper body. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There have been no arrests. Police say the victim was known to them. A security perimeter was set up to allow investigators and forensic technicians to analyze the evidence.
