A 26-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a train in Montreal’s Mile-End neighbourhood on Tuesday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 9 a.m. about the collision near Van Horne Avenue and Rosemont Boulevard. “On scene, patrol officers located the victim,” said Florence Stafford, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “First responders from the Montreal fire department attempted CPR. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene.” Stafford notes that the initial information has led police to believe the collision was accidental. The investigation is ongoing.
