The body of a woman was found by the side of the road on Monday morning in a residential area in Drummondville, about an hour and a half away from Montreal. Quebec provincial police said it received a 911 call just after 7:30 a.m. reporting the woman’s body on des Mésanges Street. The victim was transported to hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities said they are now trying to locate her family. A Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson said elements at the scene suggested a possible criminal act, but nothing has been confirmed. A security perimeter has been established to allow investigators to canvass the scene and look for potential witnesses and evidence.
