UDA exec Alexandre Curzi to run for Bloc Québécois in Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie byelection

The president of the Union des artistes (UDA), Alexandre Curzi, is set to run for the Bloc Québécois in the Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie byelection.

Curzi, the son of actor and former Parti Québécois (PQ) MNA Pierre Curzi, announced his candidacy on Thursday morning alongside Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet.

Before joining the UDA, Curzi served as president of the Alliance québécoise des techniciens et techniciennes de l’image et du son from 2017 to 2019.

The various political parties are beginning to announce their candidates for the upcoming byelection in the Montreal riding, following the announced departure of popular NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice.

Unemployment rights advocate Pierre Céré is set to run for the New Democratic Party in an attempt to retain the left-wing party’s sole seat in Quebec.
