Police investigating after man found unconscious with injuries near Montreal airport

A 27-year-old man was found unconscious on a road near the Montreal airport and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after a man was found unconscious with injuries near the airport.

At around 6:50 a.m., Urgences-Sante paramedics contacted the police when they found the unconscious 27-year-old with injuries to his upper body on Montreal-Toronto Boulevard near the Dorval Roundabout.

The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

SPVM spokesperson Johany Charland said later in the day that medical staff told investigators that the man was in a critical state due to a previous medical condition and not the superficial injuries noted on scene.

Charland says that the event does not appear to be criminal in nature and that it seems accidental.
