A man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed in a Montreal metro station on Friday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) say that calls came in at around 9:25 a.m. about a man with stab injuries at the Place des Arts metro station. “Police officers located a 43-year-old man with injuries to his upper body,” said SPVM spokesperson Jeanne Drouin. “He was quickly transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.” Police say that information leads them to believe the altercation took place at the Saint-Laurent metro station. The suspects fled before authorities arrived on the scene. Metro services were not interrupted during the investigation, but the Saint-Laurent metro station was closed. The investigation is ongoing.
