Here are the weekend road closures in and around Montreal

Those driving in and around Montreal on the weekend should be aware that certain roads will be closed for construction, including the La Fontaine Tunnel.

Highway 25 / Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel

• Northbound: From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m. and from Saturday at 11 p.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m., the tunnel between exit 90 (R-132) on the A-20 west in Longueuil and the Hochelaga Street access in Montreal will be completely closed.
• Southbound: From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m. and from Saturday at 11 p.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m., the tunnel between exit 5 (Sherbrooke Street) in Montreal and R-132 in Longueuil will be completely closed.

Highway 20 / Jean-Lesage (Beloeil sector)

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one of two lanes will be closed on Autoroute 20 east in Beloeil near exit 112, which leads to Route 223, Beloeil, Richelieu Street and St-Marc-sur-Richelieu.
• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Saturday at 7 a.m., in Beloeil, exit 112 on the eastbound A-20 toward Route 223, Beloeil, Richelieu Street and St-Marc-sur-Richelieu will be closed.
• On Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in Beloeil, access to Highway 20 east from Serge-Pépin Street will be closed.

Highway 30 – Serge-Marcil Bridge

• On Saturday and Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Highway 30 west, one of two lanes will be closed on the Serge-Marcil Bridge between Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and Les Cèdres.

Highway 40 - Félix-Leclerc (Terrebonne and Charlemagne sector)

• From July 13 to the end of August, in Terrebonne and Charlemagne, Highway 40 (Félix-Leclerc) westbound will be completely closed, with traffic diverted to the eastbound lanes, where five lanes will remain open. Slowdowns are expected.

Highway 10 / Bonaventure

• Until September, access to the Bonaventure Expressway toward downtown is closed from the north end of Nuns’ Island, at the Alexander-Graham-Bell and Jacques-le Ber intersections.

REM

• The REM is completely closed until Aug. 17 while testing is done on the network ahead of the commissioning of the branches to the West Island (Anse-à-l’Orme station) and to the North Shore (Deux-Montagnes station).

Montreal

Saint-Laurent Borough

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Sainte-Croix Avenue will be completely closed in both directions between Côte-de-Liesse Road west and Dion Street.
• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one of two lanes will be closed on Côte-de-Liesse Road west at Sainte-Croix Avenue.
• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one of two lanes will be closed on Lucerne Road / Sainte-Croix Avenue under Highway 40.

Côte-de-Liesse Road east

• Until November 2025, two of three lanes will be closed on Côte-de-Liesse Road east, upstream of Rockland Road.
• By default, the spur to de l’Acadie Boulevard south at the end of the A-15 south ramp for Highway 40 east is closed.
• By default, the ramp from Côte-de-Liesse Road east to de l’Acadie Boulevard south is closed.

René-Lévesque Boulevard

• From Saturday at 7 a.m. to Sunday at 7 p.m., two of four lanes will be closed westbound on René-Lévesque Boulevard between Wolfe and Atateken streets.
