Here are the Montreal-area weekend road closures

Those driving in and around Montreal should be aware of closures, including the Ile-aux Tourtes Bridge, due to planned construction projects.

Drivers are urged to plan their trips before leaving.

Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge (A-40)

• From Friday at midnight to Monday at 5 a.m., the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge will be closed between Vaudreuil-Dorion and Senneville on the Island of Montreal.
• The Transport Ministry (MTQ) advises residents to use public transportation.
• Tolls will be suspended at the Highway 30/Serge-Marcil Bridge booths.

Starting Oct. 6, the following changes will be in place:

• Exit 40 (Chemin de Senneville) will be closed until December 2025.
• The Anciens-Combattants Boulevard access ramp to Highway 40 West will be relocated closer to the bridge.
• The temporary parking lots near the Vaudreuil station will be gradually removed. The Boileau Street one will remain accessible until Dec. 31, while the one near Émile-Bouchard Street will remain until further notice.

Highway 25

• From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m, Highway 25 northbound will close between exit 5 (R-138, Sherbrooke Street, Yves-Prévost Boulevard) and the Yves-Prévost Boulevard access.

Curatteau Street

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m., Curatteau Street will close between Notre-Dame Street East and the access from Highway 25 north (at exit 3 for Notre-Dame Street, downtown, Hochelaga Street).

Viger Avenue West

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Viger Avenue West will close between Saint-Denis and Sanguinet streets.

Sainte-Croix Avenue

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one of four lanes on Sainte-Croix Avenue will close under Highway 40.

Côte-de-Liesse Road

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., two of three lanes will be closed on Côte-de-Liesse Road West between Houde Street and Sainte-Croix Avenue.

Pierre-Dupuy Avenue

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Pierre-Dupuy Avenue will close in both directions under the Bonaventure Highway (A-10).

Newman Boulevard (LaSalle)

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Newman Boulevard will close in both directions, between Hachez Street and 90th Avenue.

Saint-Antoine and Saint-Jacques streets

• Starting Monday, at the end of exit 2 of Atwater Avenue (R-136) east, Saint-Jacques Street will be completely closed between Brewster and Walker Avenues, and Saint-Antoine Street will become one-way eastbound between Rose-de-Lima Street and Atwater Avenue.

Highways 25 and 440 (Laval)

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Saturday at 6 a.m., exits 14 (Lévesque Boulevard) and 17 (A-440 West) will be closed on Highway 25 North.
• On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., exit 35 (A-25 southbound, Montreal) will be closed on Highway 440 eastbound.
• During the same period, exit 14 (Boulevard Lévesque) will also be closed.
