Here are the Montreal-area road closures due to construction

Roadwork in and around the Montreal area will result in major road closures and route alterations.

• LISTEN to CJAD 800 Radio for traffic updates every 15 minutes.

Planning trips in advance is advised.

Honoré-Mercier Bridge (R-138)

• From 3 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday, the Route-132 West (coming from La Prairie) ramp to Route-138 East (Honoré-Mercier Bridge / Montreal) will be closed.
• The Route-138 West (coming from the Honoré-Mercier Bridge) ramp to Route-138 West (toward Châteauguay) will also be closed at that time.

Detours will be in place for both closures.

Long-term work

• Until Monday, Aug. 3, at 5 a.m., one lane will be open in each direction on the Kahnawake-bound span of the bridge as work is done on the Montreal-bound span.
• Public transit will have dedicated lanes throughout the closure.
• Heavy truck bans will be in place Monday to Friday during rush hours.

Victoria Bridge (R-112)

From Monday, July 27, to Thursday, Sept. 10, part of the east span of the Victoria Bridge (Samuel-De Champlain Bridge side) will be closed. Traffic will be routed through the single lane of the bridge’s west span (Jacques-Cartier Bridge side) at all times, according to the following schedule:

• Toward Montreal: between midnight and noon.
• Toward the South Shore: between noon and midnight.

Highway 30 (Saint-Constant)

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Exit 44 (R-207, R-221, Saint-Rémi, Kahnawake) will be closed on Highway 30 West.

Loto-Québec International Fireworks Festival

• Jacques-Cartier Bridge and its access roads will be closed in both directions on Sunday, July 26, from 8 p.m. to midnight.
• The Ville-Marie Tunnel (R-136) and its access roads will be closed between Exit 4 (A-10, Victoria Bridge, Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, de la Montagne Street) and Panet Street on Thursday, July 9, and Sunday, July 12, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
• Victoria Bridge: toward the South Shore, 2 lanes will be open on Thursday and Sunday evenings until 11:30 p.m.

REM

• REM service will begin at 7:30 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Highway 40 East (Repentigny)

• Until Aug. 21, expect traffic disruptions on the Félix-Leclerc Expressway (A-40) East in Repentigny as part of highway paving work between Industriel Boulevard and R-341 (Louis-Philippe Picard Boulevard).

Jean-Lesage Highway (Beloeil)

• Until mid-August, the Serge-Pépin Street access ramp to the Jean-Lesage Highway (A-20) East will be closed due to the construction of a lane.

Highway 13 South (Laval)

• Until the fall, reconstruction work on a section of Highway 13 southbound between Dagenais West Boulevard and Highway 440 (Jean-Noël-Lavoie) in Laval means a traffic detour is in place.

Laurentians Highway (A-15)

• Until the end of 2027, pavement resurfacing work on the Laurentians Highway (A-15), between the Metropolitan Expressway (A-40) and the Médéric-Martin Bridge in Montreal, will cause delays.
