Getting around Montreal by car will be more difficult than usual due major roadwork happening this weekend, including the closure of the southbound Décarie Expressway. The closure is expected to cause significant disruptions so drivers are being urged to plan their trips accordingly. “We have over 100,000 vehicles usually that drive on the Décarie daily so you will expect delays,” Ministry of Transport spokesperson Louis-André Bertrand told CTV News. During the closure, Bertrand said he expects much of the traffic heading south to spill over onto Highway 13, which he says has more capacity to take on more volume of cars. The closure is necessary for crews to fix a beam that was struck by a truck last year.
